Events › Slater St. Storybook Relay

Johnson County Library and the City of Merriam invite you to the Slater St. Storybook Relay! We need at least 300 volunteers to pass the final set of books from the front door of Antioch Library down Slater St. to the new Merriam Plaza branch, which will officially open on March 20. Tell your friends and neighbors and bring the whole family to this once-in-a-generation opportunity. No RSVP required.

10:00 a.m.: Gather in the courtyard between Merriam Plaza Library and the Merriam Community Center.
10:15 a.m.: Begin lining up between Merriam Plaza and the former Antioch Library.
10:30 a.m.: Book moving begins!
11:00 a.m. Gather back in the courtyard for some fun swag.

Free parking is available at the Merriam Plaza Library/MCC parking structure (entrances off Slater St. and Ikea Way), Antioch Library, and Merriam City Hall.
