Book Discussion: Little Women by Louisa May Alcott and So Many Beginnings by Bethany C. Morrow

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Description

Explore the lives of four sisters from the Freedmen’s Colony of Roanoke Island in this Little Women remix, So Many Beginnings. Join us as we compare the two novels filled with love, resilience, and differing perspectives of the Civil War-era. This program is made possible through a partnership with Music Theater Heritage (MTH) as part of their Scholar Series and the upcoming performances of Little Women: The Musical from February 13 – March 3. Visit the Music Theater Heritage website for additional information.

Space is limited so registration for each discussion is required. Paperback copies are available to borrow for all participates. A month before the discussion date, Library staff will email registrants with further details about the book. Participants will also receive a Zoom link before the discussion.

This program will be hosted using the meeting software Zoom. A Johnson County Library staff member will contact registrants via email the day before the meeting with instructions on how to access the Zoom meeting. You do not need to download any software or create an account.
