Intro to Metal Casting

6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
Central Resource Library

Description

Experience the art of casting with pewter, a tin/copper alloy that melts at a lower temperature than other metals. Pewter is a very friendly material for first-time casting and produces beautiful, durable objects. We’ll make molds from commonly available materials, demonstrate a variety of mold-making processes and learn to polish and finish our creations.

To ensure everyone has the chance to participate, we kindly ask that you reserve only one session of this workshop. This helps us keep spots open for others who are eager to join!

For inquiries about accessibility and accommodations, please contact us at ask@jocolibrary.org or 913-826-4600 at least two weeks before the event.
