Merriam officially became a city on Oct. 23, 1950, and Johnson County Library is ready to celebrate. We’ll join the city for a day filled with the spirit of Merriam. Enjoy face painting, a balloon artist, adult drinks, ice cream, a birthday cake and ... you guessed it ... a special Storytime! This celebration is a heartfelt tribute to all the memories created since 1950. It's a time to gather, celebrate and feel the love for what makes this city shine.
