This compelling nonfiction work weaves the personal story of a young tuberculosis patient in Sierra Leone with the global history of disease, highlighting how societal choices perpetuate its persistence. Through empathetic storytelling, it challenges readers to confront the inequities that allow a curable disease to remain a leading cause of death worldwide.

Space is limited so registration for each discussion is required. Paperback copies are available to borrow for all participants. A month before the discussion date, Library staff will email registrants with further details about the book.
