I loved this book, mostly because, while the senior Halpern used really foul language, it was also apparent that he loved his kids.

Funny, and just long enough to enjoy without feeling drawn-out. I'll be looking for his other stuff!

I couldn't put it down and read it all in one night. I laughed out loud most of the time. A fun and realistic story of family life.

A very, very funny book.

On a side note... the father, whom is the subject here, actually published his own book after being encouraged by the success of this one. he also has a blog and FB page under Sam Halpern. He is actually a very nice, well spoken man whom apparently just speaks his mind.

I like this book, but I am also thankful it allowed me to learn more about the father and follow his writing as well. He writing is a lot better than the son's.

Short and very funny. Makes me want to have a husband like his dad :)

maybe ok as a twitter account. Not so good as a book.

I expected funny, acerbic, politically incorrect, but I didn't expect touching. The one-liners are quotable, amusing, even cringe-worthy, but it is the growing relationship between a son and his difficult father (the least passive aggressive man in America) that makes this book work.

Definitely an unexpected random book I decided one day to check out. Turned out to be one of the funniest books I have read. Gonna check it out again.

This book is HILARIOUS! It was hard to put it down! I found myself repeating some of the stories to friends and family because they are so darn funny. If you want a ton of laughs, read this book! I am disappointed the TV show wasn't as successful but really, who could actually portray this author's father exactly as he is unless you got the real guy? And he doesn't sound like he's made for television, haha!

Pick your furniture like you pick a wife: It should make you feel comfortable and look nice, but not so nice that if someone walks past it they want to steal it.
