Z to the O to the M to the B. I. ES!!!!!

Infinity is everything a good zombie apocalypse sjiudk be. Random attacks from completely ordinary people. Teenagers being eaten....

Is the person standing next to you human... Zombie, demon, or something else entirely?

Whelp, there's only one way to find out.

The book was so fun and fast paced. It was honestly kind of awesome. It was just the right amount of creepy but not totally annihilation apocalyptic.

"Rule number one: I don't have to outrun the zombie, I just have go outrun you." -Mark

Bubba and Mark MADE this book. Without those two the book wouldn't be even half as good as it was! They gave it that funny edge and wild ideas that any good zombie/supernatural book needs!

Nick and his sarcasm was done perfectly. He knew when to keep his mouth shut he did but man when he smart talked about it was hysterical!!

At about chapter 13 I had to take a step back.

My literal thought was "what the hell did that just say?"

I was so confused because the bomb just gets thrown on you, out of nowhere. There's not a lead up, it's not mentioned or even hinted at.... It's very abrupt and like BAM, here's this sharp right turn for you.

I can't say that it was bad or that it didn't elevate the story, bit it was rather abrupt. Though something that did bother me was that at about the halfway mark EVERYONE around Nick was supernatural of some sort. Like literally just about everyone was involved and it wasn't explained as to why.

Yes, Caleb was explained as his body guard bit seriously... That many supernatural beings in one place, surrounding Nick. It was a bit uh, convient I suppose you would say.

The last 4th of the book did seem a bit rushed and A LOT of information was just dumped in the course of 2-3 chapters. So it was a lot to take in. Some of that information could have been sprinkled throughout the entire book instead of thrown at us in the end... But it didn't harm the book or make it any less enjoyable.

Other than that it was fantastic and I can't wait to pick up the next one.

I've not read any books by Sherrilyn Kenyon before. She is apparently the author of quite a few books, written for adults, that deal with supernatural themes - vampires, werewolves, demons, etc. The Chronicles of Nick series takes these types of characters (maybe even the same actual characters, for all I know) and puts them into books written for young adults.

The good parts: Kenyon has created some very interesting characters, both human and non-human. Some very cool back stories and power sets. I kinda want to check out a couple of her adult books. And I like how she bases everything out of New Orleans, and throws in some local flavor, like real locations, and how the goth kids make pilgrimages to Ann Rice's house.

The bad parts: the dialog, and internal monologue, and basically any time she has a teenager talking. Like with James Patterson, I wonder if she has ever actually met a teen. They just don't talk the way Kenyon makes them talk.

I felt as if the book had never gone through the copy editing process. And I'm not just talking about typos or spelling errors (although there were a few of those); I'm also talking about continuity issues, like referring to characters before we've actually met the characters. Or having people say goodbye, and then both getting into the same vehicle.

Finally, there is so much going on in this book. We're introduced to so many characters, and people are popping in and out (sometimes literally), and so much of it just seems so random. Like it's not actually leading up to anything. And then, suddenly, we're at the climax, the big final fight scene, and it's not very climactic. And then people say goodbye, and they get in the same SUV, and they ride off and we're done.

Supernatural teen book, Story is very good!

The first installment of the ‘Chronicals of Nick’ series, while the title gives little information about this book, all you need to know is that, what you read on the back is exactly what you are going to get. Infinity is apart of a larger series, however it takes place in an alternative version of Sherrilyn Kenyon’s previous books. Now, Infinity is a fun and enjoyable read which applies primarily to teens but can still be enjoyable for older audiences. The main character is your so called stereotypical teen, for some, he’s difficult to relate to. But for others, they know exactly why he acts the way he does and Sherrilyn Kenyon does a fantastic job showcasing how the main character and others think and act without throwing it in your face. Plus, the humor in the story works perfectly, generally coming from the snarky teenager himself. Overall, the story is well done and it sets a good view for the books to come

This book contains spoilers of events that start to unfold beginning in Seize the Night - because this is an alternate history of events in the main Dark Hunter continuum, some things that are only revealed later in the series are introduced already in this book. Infinity was published between Bad Moon Rising and No Mercy, so that's when I read it.

Infinity is the first installment of the Chronicles of Nick series. As the title suggest, this series centers on Nick Gauthier, a Cajun from New Orleans with a real talent for back talk, getting into trouble, and…. Hunting zombies?

For those who have already read the Dark-Hunter series and believe they know Nick Gauthier, you couldn’t be further from the truth! Sherrilyn Kenyon once again proves her writing brilliance with just the right infusion of butterfly effect.

Menyons will also be interested to know that this book is currently being converted for the big screen with Sherrilyn Kenyon herself writing the screen play!

Read it before it’s out!

Awesome story. I love Nick and am glad I read this series before starting the adult Dark-Hunter series. it helped me to understand Nick better and to be in the know when something happens that leaves readers who haven't read about younger Nick reeling a bit. Recommend the whole series.

I LOVED this book! It was so much fun to read. Nick is such a great character and Bubba and Mark really made my day. I laughed out loud numerous times at the hysterical things Bubba and Mark said. I can't wait to read the next book, Invincible.

Well, when you chased me through Kyrian’s house, I did wet my pants a bit. Guess I’m not housebroken after all. My mom will be so disappointed after all she went through to potty train me. But once you let me live…your big mistake…now I know you think I’m too cute and fluffy to kill. (Nick)”
