I love how realistic this movie is - the adopted child of white lesbian parents seeks to reconnect with her birth mother. Except, it doesn't work and her life, and her self-esteem, goes spinning down the tubes for a little while.

Really interesting to feel the impact of identity on someone coming of age. I feel for her, y'know?
