The people of the South are famous for keeping their actual recipes secret. In most cases with cookbooks, leaving out an essential ingredient or adding an extra one or adjusting the quantities used is what they do to keep their recipes their own.

In the case of this book, however, the recipes aren't realistic. Trying them won't even leave you with a basic understanding of what the food is even supposed to taste like.

It's not arranged in a manner that makes it easy to find recipes for a particular need, and then when you do, the recipes are worse than useless: you're better off trying something of your own, and leaving this book on the shelf.
