Subtitle misleading, in that I thought it would have some money management ideas contained within this book. Its a light read.

not your typical retirement book. no emphasis on savings, retirement funds etal. more focused on what to do in retirement. much of the book is common sense but I got a couple of good ideas

This book does address an important topic - planning what to do in retirement. Clearly, there is a significant change of pace, outlook, and potentials when one retires. This book provides many wonderful quotes and suggested lists. My basic knock is that this book could be shortened to a brochure and not lose any content. There is way too much repetitious discussion on planning for retirement activities.

The author looks at the non-financial aspects of retirement and provides an easy to read book that focuses on accepting that you are more than just money, a job, or a career. I would recommend this book in conjunction with 'Retirement Rocks' as a couple of must read books for those considering early retirement, those in retirement, or those struggling with the decision to even retire at all. In retrospect, I can honestly say that early retirement was the absolute best decision for me, but this and a couple of other EPL titles definitely eased the transition.

Ok, but not exactly world-shaking.
