READ THIS PART FIRST!! If you Just want a review on how I like to book red until I click new paragraph and skip to the end! It’ll be my recommendation at the end! Also quick thing I have a paragraph sectioned off to how long it took me to read. Just look for the parts with ‘-words-‘ to see what paragraph is what. (That is if you wanna even read this)

-My background with why I chose this book summed up short-
I actually really loved this book! I don’t know what’s up with me (teen thing?) but I’ve been obsessed with anything zombie since January-February 2019.

-Weird Fangirly Part Starting below-
And I’m also a hopeless romance seeker (kinda) so this what up my ally! I have not looked yet but I might accidentally chuck my phone out of frustration because I get to attached to books, and I want to see if there’s a second one out.

-How Long It Took Me To Read-
I started this book around 1 AM on January 17, 2020 it took me about 2 hours to read it (it’s 3 AM) but I can’t say It’s a quick read because I personally read really fast because I’m basically a bookworm.

(This part Above is just how long it took, the 2 lines below it is just me saying I love books and I read books to read more)

I just adore reading books! So I finish a book fast just so I can read another.

Anyways I recommend this book to people who like a slight romance, a tiny bit of gore discrimination, and obviously zombies! I give this book a 12000/10 %

Thx if you read all of it! I spent 10 minutes writing it out and editing LOL
I think I just did my language arts teacher proud.

"Bad Taste in Boys" is full of good taste in humor. The debut novel of Carrie Harris, it was hilarious and fun in every corner of the page. Zombie slash high school, what a perfect combination, and here they thought school couldn't get scarier! You know those comedies that lack in common sense? The ones you watch fully aware that they are stupid, and yet you can’t help but laugh like a wild hyena? That’s exactly what this is. The story has more holes than Swiss cheese, so if you’re looking for a serious YA zombie novel, you're definitely at the wrong place. But the characters were irresistibly adorable and they made me laugh on almost every single page, so much that there were tears in my eyes. This novel was made purely for entertaining purposes, so what if there wasn't any inspiring message? Your laughter alone is enough to make this novel memorable.
Kate Grable is a science genius and the student trainer at her school. Her daily routine contains of tending to minor injuries and handing out Gatorade to the football players. As if that wasn't bad enough, she has to take care of the worst football team in existence and somehow reassure them that they are god's greatest gifts. Plus she gets to see the boy of her dream, Aaron, get beaten up every time he plays. Sounds like heaven right? When Kate finds unmarked vials in the Coach’s office she immediately thinks he’s giving illegal shots to the players in order to try and recover their losing season. Later that night at a party with her classmates, Mike, a football player, collapses and appears to be dead. As Kate examines him prior to the EMT’s arriving she finds a bruise on his arm that looks suspiciously like an injection mark. Fearing that he’s dead and has no idea what to think, Mike suddenly jumps up from the ground, it was like he came back from the dead. Something’s different about him and she doesn’t know what. But it all makes sense he kisses her out of nowhere... and takes a chunk of her lip! The answer to the mystery: he's a zombie! Now it's all up to Kate, her friends, and her bratty nerd brother to find the antidote before their entire town gets turned into the walking dead.
There's something about the book that I have to say before I get to the storyline. The cover is gorgeous with a capital G! It is eye-catching with glossy pink lips sprinkled with tiny white particles. It gives a dark and eerie atmosphere yet still remains true to its girly side. And it relates to the story without giving away too much spoilers. Now onto the story, like I said before you can't take this novel too seriously. All's fun in giggling and believing. My favorite character from this book is, you're not going to believe me, the little brother. He is such a geek, and does the funniest things sometimes! Even though the siblings act like they don't care about each other, it was evident through his actions that he would do anything for his sister. "Bad Taste in Boys" is an interesting title and it hints at the novel being about zombies without literally stating it, and it emphasis on the book's sass factor. I read this book like the flame reads the kidding, who knew zombies are my cup of tea?
