It's a good one. A quick read. Flynn leaves his characters open for the next or future books.

Last book #14
An excellent finish to Flynn's Mitch Rapp series. I have enjoyed all of these novels.
What a shame this excellent author died so young.
The Last Man is the last novel in the Mitch Rapp series by the late Vince Flynn. In the final entry an attempt on Rapp’s life combined with an attempt to frame him goes awry and Rapp pursues the bad guys with prejudice. Characters from the two prequels and Consent to Kill are incorporated in the action which features two climactic scenes. The Last Man is one of the best entries in a great spy/action/thriller series.
I have to disagree with Nitetrain on this one. I do agree that I didn't understand the whole amnesia thing, but I really enjoyed this book; Flynn turned in a stellar performance. Flynn is a talented writer and I will really miss reading the novels that surely he would have written, had he not died prematurely. I rate this book 9 out of 10.

This is a novel that is full of action and keeps your interest. I already recommended The Last Man to someone and I will search for Vince Flynn's previous novels.
Agree with ballen66, however this is a "shoot-em-up" middle-east novel. The type of which am I personally tired. I hope we soon exit and cease to hear of Afghanistan (and the middle-east, for that matter!)
Mitch Rapp could be another Jack Reacher if he developed a sense of humor and a philosophical life sense.
Well written and plotted contemporary novel. I enjoyed the events and characters immensely although I am very sensitive about the subject matter. Recommendable.
So sorry to hear about the passing of Vince Flynn. His books were always entertaining and a good example of his genre of writing.
