Not the best book in this series but it was interesting to see how some issues were treated 30 years ago. Compared to later books this one seemed rushed, especially at the end things wrapped up really quickly. The book was a reminder of how scary the AIDS epidemic was in the 80's and how that affected anyone who had to deal with bodies. Public opinion at that time was not favorable to the gay community. In the book the police assumed the men performing as cross dressers were gay as well.
