This omnibus collects all the Jeeves and Wooster short stories, about upper-class twit Bertie Wooster and his brilliant valet Jeeves. P. G. Wodehouse is a comic genius, and his sense of farce and delightful turns-of-phrase never fail to amuse as Jeeves helps Bertie escape mayhem and matrimony in 1920s England. The British TV series starring Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie is also a favorite.

Having watched the TV series Jeevs and Wooster, it was neat to read many of the stories that were used. Wodehouse captures the times very well - you have to have some knowledge of the period to get some of the jokes but the humour is there. It's often dry and subtle but I found it an enjoyable romp through the immediate post WWI era.

Wodehouse is a master storyteller and fills these stories with characters who are true to their time.
