Original and charming. Told sometimes in 1st and sometimes in 3rd person, the main character Brown Dog is so good-hearted, so competent in the forest, so sweet, I came out of my comfort zone and even got a kick out of his obsession with women and sex.

Not funny and didn't hold my interest beyond about 25 pages.

This is a compilation of six novellas written over a period of thirteen years. All the novellas center around Brown Dog, a ne'er do well citizen of the UP of Michigan. Because of first-rate writing, you will come to know, admire, and maybe envy Brown Dog.
