The Lynching of Bert Dudley: In the dark hours of September 21, 1916, nearly 60 unknown men arrived in downtown Olathe, Kansas. Their intention was to overpower the Johnson County Sheriff, break into the jail and lynch a convicted murderer named Bert Dudley.

This five volume series explores the sometimes quiet, sometimes tumultuous times of a growing community. The information incorporates personal accounts, photos, and reenactments relating to the Mahaffie family, Quantrill, the Naval Air Station, and much, much more. The series concludes with Civil Rights activities, contributions from various local church communities, the current day celebration and history of Old Settlers Day, and the settlement of Shawnee tribes in the area. Emmy award winner in 2011 from the Mid-America chapter of the National Academy of Television and Sciences, this is a not to miss adventure series of Olathe and its surrounding area.
