Detailed explanation of current spy networks in cold war & human & money costs for all participants. When Reagan & Cheney intentionally outed CIA agent Valerie Plame's 20 years of running spies this book hints at how many hundreds of innocent people she interacted with were probably subjected to torture & murder. Philby's connections definitely were killed.
