A fresh look at an old, spooky tale. I love how the characters interact with each other and appreciate the humor in an otherwise dark supernatural drama.

Consistently well done in every episode; The multiple levels of story lines are progressing at the right paces; The character concepts are interesting, and without over-doing the out-of-time part; Very good to see a story-rich TV shows these days;

Love this series! Very clever writing with great chemistry between Ichabod and Abby. It has a great mix of humor, fantasy, mystery, suspense and history.

The first thing I'll say here is: Wow! I'm impressed. I got hooked on this show from the start: It's like an English major's uber-dream. The fictional character and fictional setting are really brought to life, the casting choices are spot on (especially Tom Mison as Ichabod Crane), and it's well acted. I love the whole time travel angle, where Ichabbod has been pulled 250 years into 21st century America, and it's fun watching him become acquainted with all our technology...and maybe he adapts a tad too easily or quickly? Like most TV shows, there'll be weak episodes and strong episodes, but in this case there's room for development. Recommended if you like Supernatural.

much better than I was expecting because I was of course thinking of the movie which I only found so so. Good creepy scenes.

I doubt this show will make it. The headless horseman carrying guns and wearing a shoulder sash bandolier filled with shotgun shells...are you kidding me? Part of the appeal of his traditional character was the visceral nature of his love for all weapons with a blade. It's just ridiculous to have him using automatic weapons and riot shotguns. They do some good things in the series too, but they don't outweigh the bad things. The writing just isn't good enough to make the show exciting or even mildly compelling enough to continue watching.

Wondered how this series would turn out-cheesy and boring and yet i was proven wrong. It's quite intriguing and surprisingly funny! Great characters and storyline and subtle visual effects--impressive for a non-cable show.
Ichabod Crane finds himself in present day and draw to this small town detective,Abbie,of whom a connection is shared.This season follows their first encounter and their joruney to figure out what their connection is, which leads them to unexpected places, encounter people along the way-plenty of laughs there. And finally face their past head on.
Looking forward to S2.
I wonder could there be something brewing between the 2?...ha!
