Not very original, too much like other sci fi shows with similar themes, and the actors have the very same demeanor as they did in other shows. Immaculate conception as a theme is dull too.

Halle Berry, unable to conceive in reality instead comes back from a space mission impregnated by an alien and is consumed by her claim to be the mother of this "child." Found this sci-fi effort to be flat, and uninteresting and thus receives thumbs down. I think I'll take a pass on season 2. Incidentally, Halle Berry is the offspring of a redundant black father and a white mother so therefore is by definition "mixed race." As for her performance see "Ravenheart" below.

Just because I know Ruth from TDL will never recommend something not worth watching I know I have to watch this.

Good story. I enjoyed the suspense but I think the main characters should have had stronger personalities. Halle Berry??? and nerdy Goran Visnjic just didn't cut it for me. I still give it four stars for being a good movie. I will probably not watch the second season - if there is one.

Good concept, but I didn't care much at all for Halle Berry as the lead. She's just a mediocre actress, and rarely is as dynamic as the lead of a series needs to be. (I think her oscar win for Dorothy Dandridge was political, not actually based on any overwhelming talent. ) Don't interpret my comment as racist either, because it isn't; there are excellent black actresses out there who deserved a shot instead of Berry. I didn't see hardly any chemistry between her and Goran Visnjic, who plays her husband, and most of her scenes were just plain flat. I'd be very surprised if this turns into a long running series...it isn't awful, but it just isn't a really dynamic, nail-biter type of series that really draws you in. The young boy who plays the android son is probably what I liked best about the show. I liked the android angle of the story line, and his acting and lines were pretty good as well.

Good actors for this clever sci fi series.
