Very disappointing. So factually incorrect. Army vs the scientists. Us vs them. A radioactive soap opera. Had the feeling of a movie filmed in the 50s or 60s. But my wife found it entertaining.
well plotted fiction. keeps moving, addictive -- a lot like the good wife for keeping lots of strands going to keep things moving.
some good acting. what i get a kick out of is how the young American physics genius who is supposedly in the same genius league as Heisenberg and Bohr is played by a gorgeous guy with the necessary matinee idol looks but who comes off as not very smart! Which is harder to pull off: an actor of average intelligence playing a genius or a super smart actor playing dumb?
This series is amazing! I am so pleased with the writing, actors, set and the costumes! It floors me that this series isn't on HBO or Cinemax because the quality of every aspect is phenomenal! I am looking forward to Season 2 to start in Oct 2015!
Fictional account of The Manhattan Project --
The scientists were featured as political egomaniacs with wives playing follow-your-man to the dusty isolated community of nerds, all under constant watch by the army sentries and intelligence spooks. The ending was a cliff hanger with fate of the central character left hanging, literally, for season two.
