Golden- "The thing about real relationships is that you risk real heartbreak, which is exactly what LJ is afraid of (and honestly this is so relatable). Harry Styles clearly relates as he sings Golden, in which he sings about how he hopes his relationship will never end because he can’t imag... Read More »

Comment
Add a CommentI didn't like this book as much I did the first. I feel like towards the end of the book, it didn't intrigue me as much as it had before. I'm still going to be reading the third though!
Peter Or John Ambrose?
I still don't get the hype around this series. It felt like not much happened in this book, and Lara Jean just feels so young for the age she's supposed to be. Will I read the third book? Yes, just because I need to know how the trilogy ends. Hopefully something more exciting happens in the next book.
Don't let the rating fool you, I enjoyed this book, a lot. I'm hooked on Peter and Lara Jean, the fact is though getting into this book was a bit of a drudgery... And! I'm happy with the ending, meaning, I can most definitely end the series here and be no worse for wear. Will I read book 3? I'm not sure. That'll depend on my girl Jen.
This is an awesome sequel! I enjoyed the dynamic between Peter and Lara Jean. It is also good to see some of the growth Lara Jean goes through.
Lara Jean is so relateable. I love this series!
This is the sequel to the popular *To All the Boys I've Loved Before* teen romance novel and I didn't enjoy it as much as the first book. One thing that I did like, is that it digs into the difficult aftermath of the first book's world-wind romance. But, the book still keeps the overall tone light and fluffy.

I adore the way author Jenny Han captures LJ’s personality! The characters in this sequel are once again vivid, quirky, heartfelt and seriously like someone you could know. Kitty is still hilarious, Peter is still hunky and tethered to Gen, Josh is almost out of the picture, a few new characters are introduced and now there’s another guy pining for LJ’s attention.
The hot tub scandal hasn’t disappeared and one of LJ’s old letters comes back to create more chaos! Can LJ trust Peter as a boyfriend when manipulate, jealous Gen still has her tentacles firmly wrapped around Peter’s heart? Is Peter right for LJ or would someone she once wrote a love letter to be a better match? Will Kitty’s scheme for getting their widower dad to date again be an utter fiasco? Can LJ follow in her big sister’s footsteps and be an amazing volunteer at the local retirement home?
You’ll laugh-out-loud, you’ll feel all the feels, you might get choked-up at times and you’ll definitely want to read the 3rd book to find out what happens next to lovable Laura Jean.
Thoroughly enjoyed this second book in the series.
In my opinion, the book definitely makes the movie a little more disappointing than when I only watched the movie before reading the book. The way the movie ended is so abrupt compared to the book and it makes you wonder why they didn't add in other details from the book into the movie. It would've made it much better. Overall, it was a good read that I completed in three (could've been two) nights and the interactions LJ has with both boys has me hooked on picking one or the other. Can't wait to read the last one!
