For as far back as she can remember, Airiana Ridell has always been aware of her extraordinary gift. She can intuit revealing and illuminating 'patterns' in the air around her -- whether in a spray of mist, in billowing clouds, or in the dense swirls of an impenetrable fog. Her abilities led to her placement in a secret government training facility when she was a child, but everything changed after her mother was murdered. Airiana fled the program, but she couldn't outrun the desperate members of a shadowy cabal who want her, who need her, who will kill to get her. Kidnapped and held aboard a ship bound for dangerous seas, her only chance for rescue is Maxim Prakenskii. He has his reasons for helping her, but he isn't about to reveal them to Airiana. Not yet. Not as the two are drawn together as moth to flame. Not when there are so many secrets yet untold that could shatter the quaint community of Sea Haven and all who reside there.

I've greatly enjoyed Air Bound, though the parts about the sexually abuse and murder of women and children made it hard reading at first. I found Airiana's secret Russian history to be tragic, but interesting, but found both Maxim and Airiana (Airi, Airia) to be likable characters. I did find the next to last chapter, a...little...scary. Even though there are no Prakenskii sisters (a reader on asked about that) it would have been fun to see how they would have dealt with their deadly brothers. Oddly I found the Prakenskii brothers to be quite likable, though I'd never want to be on their wrong side.

I can NEVER get enough of Feehan. This started a lil slower than the others, but picked up quick. I couldn't turn pages fast enough. I just LOVE the Prakenskii men *yum! yum!* Part of me can't wait for Gratzos' brother to finally be dead, yet, it would end the series. Oh the unfairness of it all. LOVED all the kids and my heart wept for what they went through. I despise anyone whose mean and abusive to children, so I cried a lot. But Benito? Oh that lil guy made me laugh and cry and want to hold him and tell him I Love You Benito. He will be a wonderful man so I really hope this won't be the end of this series. An easy 5 stars. Happy Reading!

Airiana has a brilliant mind and is an air element, it just so happens so is Maxim. He kidnaps her to take her to her father and save her from the mad billionionaire. She goes from trying to escape him to loving him and he in turn. He fights against her pull on his heart strings but can't help falling for her. We also get to see cameos from the other Prakenskii's and a few from the Drake Sisters

There has got to be at least one more of this series, It appears to be open ended. I really liked this book. Good story, as are all of Christine Feehan's books. This one did seemed to repetitious in a lot of its descriptive places. Wil be watching for another follow up book however.
