Letting go of God is a one-person monologue by Julia Sweeney chronicling her search for God. She rejoins the Catholic Church (the church in which she was raised and for which she is affectionate) and takes a Bible study class, which sends her in a tailspin towards Buddhism, and then various New Age gurus and finally accepting that there is no evidence for God at all. Then she deals with her family's negative reaction to her philosophical change.

Boring, self-absorbed story convened by Julia about her ordinary life and views.

Very, very good! In a humorous way, she addresses all the things I got into trouble for in Sunday School when I dared to question and comment on. I absolutely loved it!

A good introduction to Atheism. Although she is relating her journey to atheism, she has done her homework and touches on many issues that concern atheism. This would be good to see by friends and family of atheists. It may help dispel many stereotypes and misunderstandings about atheism.

An interesting look at how a very devout christian becomes an atheist, filled with humour and poking fun at believers and non-believers. It isn't rolling on the floor funny, but it definitely tickles the funnybone! I recommend it, enjoy!
