Stars Above, by Marissa Meyer
Stars above is a collection of stories telling us about the pasts of our beloved characters from the Lunar Chronicles: Cinder, Iko, Prince Kai, Scarlett, Wolf, Captain Throne, Cress, Winter and Jacin, and how their fates would cross paths. Cinder was saved from a fire as a baby, and joined a new family, never truly accepting her. Scarlett was a strong independent girl who only wanted to feel love, so she left home to join her Grandma at the farm, little did she know that her Grandma was harboring the biggest secret on Earth. Wolf, taken from his family to serve the queen of Luna, had to fight his way to the top of the pack. Cress, a measly shell from Lunar but the most skilled hacker and programmer on Luna, was sent to live a satellite to spy on Earth. Captain Thorne, always dreaming to pilot, was witty and used whatever means to earn money to achieve his goals. Winter and Jacin were childhood friends, and fighting their feelings for each other, not realizing their fates. These stories were an interesting mix of fairytales and made me love the characters even more. Marissa Meyer did a spectacular job intertwining fairytales into her stories and it's super unique. Her style sets Stars Above and the Lunar Chronicles apart from other books. I recommend reading the Lunar Chronicles first before reading Stars Above, but this book will definitely appeal to those who enjoy fantasy/fairytales.

To all of you who are upset about who got married, you should be ashamed, it wasn't for you anyway. I mean sure any of the other marriages would be ADORABLE, but they all would make me jump up and down in my room giggling, (and crying) and I haven't even read the book yet.
But there is something be said for that fact that it was Scarlet and Wolf's marriage. I personally believe that story wasn't for any of the readers. I believe that it was for Wolf, because after what happened in Winter he was so self-conscious about what he had become that this was for HIM. Scarlet saying yes gave Wolf hope that he could have a normal life. So moral of the story, no matter the conflicts, physical or verbal, worldwide or local, you can have a normal life if you choose to, even the genetically mutated, the ones called different. SO STOP COMPLAINING.

There were only a couple of stories that I liked in this book. I like the epilogue after Winter with the wedding and I liked the one with Winter and Jacin. The other stories were good too, but not really thrilling.

The stories were cute and and a good way to finish off the series. In particular, I loved the last one even though I was secretly wishing for it to be between another couple. Overall, I would agree with another reader stating that these book would be best read not at the end, when the rest of the series was complete, but rather while reading the rest of the series. The stories would have a better impact and flow nicely.

SO GOOD!!!
My favorite book now.
I love the last story, it took my heart away...

Stars Above is a must-read for fans of the Lunar Chronicles series. Over the course of nine short stories, Marissa Meyer tells stories that go as far back as when Selene was being brought over to Michelle's house after the fire, all the way to Scarlet and Wolf's wedding two years after Winter. You'll be smiling, laughing, and crying with the characters, particularly in the last story, "Something Old, Something New." Even though Meyer tied up all of the loose ends at the end of Winter, you'll still learn new things about the characters.

The stories were interesting and added to the main storyline of the lunar chronicles. I especially recommend the last story, it's amazing

It was OK, but I'll admit I was a little disappointed that the wedding was Scarlet and Wolf's instead of Cinder's. Worth reading if you liked the series though.

Coarse Language: There is probably cussing, because there was in the others. Just letting you know.

Sexual Content: Well in the beginning it tells Scarlets grandmas story and I would advise for any one who reads it to just skip it. Also Cinder and Kai pretend to be married, and it's just wrong, and weird.
