Wanted to try this vegan like diet because it was featured in a recent Nov 2016 Woman's World issue about losing 12lbs a week. So far I've been following this diet plan for about 2 weeks now and I can truly say I've lost some weight. Maybe not 12lbs a week but some lbs. The meals recipes are truly easy to make and taste really great. I haven't followed the exercise plan provided so I know if I implement this with the diet plan I probably lose more lbs. It's a healthy lifestyle change I truly needed.

The author suggests that a man between 150 and 199 lbs should eat 1600 calories a day, but does not take into account the person's level of activity. Highly active males should eat closer to 2500-3000 calories a day. Not recommended.

Groundbreaking, revolutionary...calories count, to lose weight you need to consume fewer calories....add the goofy hook of vegan breakfast and Jorge has another over-hyped book with page after page of the same meal plan...this time 8 full weeks. Followed by 16 pages of waif-like millenials who have "final lost that last 3 stubborn pounds!!!!" Admitting that he "was wrong" in all of his former books and now science is on his side. Guess that means all those earlier books don't belong on library shelves any longer. The weight loss program promoted in this book is simply common sense that could be condensed to a 4 page booklet: Page 1: Eat Less
Page 2: Don't eat candy
Page 3: Picture of Celery
Page 4: Profit & Loss statement of Jorge's previous 10 books which he now knows were WRONG!

Don't waste your time... Take a walk instead

The book was a disappointment. "Let's be vegan at breakfast because it's so healthy but not be vegan through the rest of the day because it's unhealthy." Boo, what message does this give to the ethical vegan? Cruise is just out to make money, is certainly not an expert, and just rides the winds of the ever-changing diet world to feed his pockets from the hard earned dollar of the desperate to lose. He also says his previous thoughts on diet were incorrect and blames it on someone else. So many other wonderful books out there. Skip this.
