Born with super strength? Yeah, you can probably figure it out pretty easily. Super speed? Invisibility? Flight? Easy to figure out, just like most of the standard, familiar super powers from superhero stories. But the Zeroes? Their powers are something different. Things like forgetability--no one remembers Anonymous, not even his parents, who accidentally abandoned him in the hospital as a young teen. Or "the Voice," Scam's ability to let his words get him whatever he wants through manipulation, a power he can only vaguely guide when it takes over his mouth and always causes more harm than he intends. These six teens have social powers, for the most part, that are hard to understand and harder to use effectively.

The Zeroes spent the first book learning about themselves. In this second book they discover they are not alone and begin learning about others with similar powers--one of whom wants to kill them all and may just be strong enough to do so. Plus everything they do continues to attract the attention of the media and police. This is another entry with plenty of excitement and action combined with identity, angst, and relationships issues. Challenges that might just mean the end of the Zeroes (warning: it's hard to know from the cliffhanger ending).

GREAT sequel to a wonderful first book. We got even more into the nitty-gritty and dark side of things, and I loved every twist. Can't WAIT for the conclusion!!

Definitely didn't like this book as much as the first. It was a slow build, and some parts were seriously morbid. The last quarter was good, with a cliff hanger ending.

Ya I couldn't finish this book. After the first book, I was really excited to see how much farther the author could push the concept, but I was really disappointed. All this book delivered was whiny teenagers with meaningless abilities that could only create parties. I found it unoriginal, boring and one dimensional.

They think everything is going good; their nightclub is finally coming together and its been awhile since they have been in a fight. But when two strangers come to town everything that was going good now isn't.
This is the second book in Scott Westerfeld’s series “Zeroes” and I loved it just as much as the first! There's something really unique about this series that really makes you want to read every last word. You get to experience everything from all six characters because each chapter is told by a different Zero. The ending in this one really shocked me and I cant wait to read the last book. Rating 4 out of 5 stars.

I love superheroes with weird powers, I love teen drama, I love exciting plots, and I love creepy bad guys, and Swarm has this all in spades. A terrific sequel to Zeroes. But the way this one ended, I need the next book in the series RIGHT NOW.
