I am a huge fan of Little House books and TV series. I have ALL of the books in my personal library.
I was very disappointed in this book. I wanted to like it. It was too wordy. I had also hoped that the reviewers were exaggerating about the sex scenes - they weren't. The sex scenes were unnecessary and awkward - definitely NOT in good taste for a Little House book. Charles getting turned on by Caroline's braid? I should have just stopped reading right there. This was a weird twist on Little House pioneer experience. I should have just borrowed from the library and not bought it. Money wasted. NOT worthy of my Little House collection. Better yet, I should have just not read it - period. It was deceiving inside, having such a beautiful and innocent looking cover. I won't be reading any of this author's books in the future.
