Inspiring. We all need to look beyond our comfort zones and known abilities to create real change.

What can I add to the reviews about this amazing memoir, read by Michelle, that hasn't already been said? I especially enjoyed the focus on her childhood, her family and her neighborhood that was just starting to crumble. Her voice makes it all the more sweeter!

It makes me want to read other First Ladies' memoirs. Here's hoping that we can soon read a First Gentleman's memoir.

MO is an excellent narrator of her very thoughts and words. I cannot imagine this will be read or heard by any Republican. It simply enlightens and reinforces the struggles from humble youth, law school, life with Barack, her reluctance to be First Lady and the interference she endured for eight years. My admiration grew reading this account. There is no comparison present today as to the fine minds of the Obamas, we endure polar opposites.

What an amazing book. This totally blew me away! Mrs. Obama’s stories filled with truth, inspiration, humor, and a little bit of romance (with you know who). Such a tremendous writer. She is so correct that her stories really connect with people of all different backgrounds. As an immigrant growing up in a single parent family, I can still relate to her family’s thrive for their children to be successful and for her to be self motivated with acute focus on what success looks like and the conflict of not knowing if that’s really what she wants. From childhood to adulthood to being a family and continue to grow, it all sounds too familiar. It was a page turner because I couldn’t wait to find out what happened next and how she responds to the different events.
In the day and age of so much hate relating to different political issues and I was hesitant to start reading this book because I didn’t want another political rant. I was pleasantly surprised at how she presented the truth of poverty, racial struggle with such poignant and genuine through the lenses of her own experience.
I “read” the book via audiobook read by Mrs. Obama herself and that took the stories to a whole different level. Her voice was calm, comforting, and fill with eagerness for hope just like the book intended it to be.
Mrs. Obama, thank you for sharing your stories with us. Allowing us into your world with such raw intimacy and to see yours (and your family’s) struggles to maintain the value that you all believe in.

The audiobook, narrated by Mrs. Obama herself, is amazing. It feels like sitting in a living room with your best friend sipping tea and listening to incredible stories of both an ordinary and an extraordinary life.

Articulate, positive, interesting, ambitious, strong, educated and most of all HONEST. This is what she presented in this well-written biography.

It is for a very good reason that Michelle Obama is currently considered the most admired woman in the world. Her life story is remarkable, and she is both relatable and inspiring. I highly recommend the audiobook which she narrates herself. I found myself moved to tears frequently by her story and will miss her voice.

A well written story but just not that interesting, I think she wrote it more for her children then the world

Listening to this book, in Mrs. Obama's own voice, was mesmerizing.

I love her more, if that's possible. I admire her more, if that's possible.

Mrs. Obama honestly shares the trials of the campaign life, the brutal scrutiny of the media and public eye, the burden of raising young children in the White House, her love story with Barack, her ambition for better - for her, her girls, everyone.

This was absolutely a journey of a memoir. It was beautiful and captivating. I cried a LOT. I loved the way she tied a story of her adulthood to her childhood, reflecting on how our life is connected and there are always lessons to be learned. Within the ups and downs of everything, Mrs. Obama manages to offer practical hope for the future.
