"What would happen if the ancient prophecy of the End of Days came true? It is certainly the last thing Eric Katz--a secular archeologist from Los Angeles--expects to discover during what should be a routine dig in Jerusalem. But perhaps higher forces have something else in mind. For when a sign presaging the rising of the Third Temple is located in America and a dirty bomb is detonated in downtown Tel Aviv, events conspire to place a team of archaeologists in the tunnels deep under the Temple Mount. And there, Eric is witness to a discovery of such monumental proportions that nothing will ever be the same again"--

An interesting "read". Very current as it takes place in the Middle East and there are characters that are Jewish, christian and Muslim. There seemed to be alot of bickering between the differing faiths. It reminded me of "playground" bickering where one child says to another "my Dad is bigger than your Dad and my Dad can beat up your Dad." childish, yes but hopefully children grow out of that behavior. I recalled a statement in the bible about "when I was a child, I thought as a child, I spoke as a child...but when I became an adult, I put away childish things." Some don't apply that to their faiths. The author concludes with an interesting ending that seems to resolve some of the bickering. These major faiths need to accept that they each have a little right but more wrong. Until they do, these conflicts will continue, often tragically.
