Warning: THIS IS A REVIEW OF NIN's ALBUM "WITH TEETH"
("Downward Spiral" is their most popular title, I believe)

I cried when I saw Johnny Cash's "Hurt" video...who didn't. And it stole all the thunder from Reznor's version. Reznor gets it all back, though, on this album, with "Right Where It Belongs."
But to get there you've got to get through stuff even better, like:
-Every Day is Exactly the Same
-The Hand That Feeds You ("do you bite the hand that feeds/will you chew until it bleeds?")
...and the rest that's just plain f876in' good.
Don't ask me how this stacks up with the rest of NIN. I'm not a fan. I'm a fan of this record.

The Downward Spiral is an excellent album for those fans of Industrial or aggressive Electronica. This and 'Pretty Hate Machine' are my two favourite NIN albums. Trent Reznor made it big with his first album due to the popularity of the song 'Head Like A Hole', but this album proved that the success of NIN wasn't just a fluke. Some of the songs are densely layered and you really need good speakers or headphones to get the most out of them. If you are curious about Industrial Rock/Metal give this album a try.
