Toys have migrated from mostly homemade to largely manufactured. The tone is pleasant and scholarly, and as a social history, it offers glimpses of toys from their earliest days through written narratives or interviews. This book often put me to sleep and I am not sure why. It felt like a dull textbook one is forced to study.
