Discovery is the second studio album by the famous group, Daft Punk. Released in 2001, the album features 14 songs. It quickly received critical acclaim and became a classic. The type of music that is focused on is disco, post-disco, and R&B. As compared to the group’s previous album, which focused mainly on raw electronic music, this album explores more genres and has a greater variety of sound to offer. In spite of this, some people may find the sound of Daft Punk to be generally repetitive. I find this to be true as well, but the upbeat, drum-reliant, and synthesizer-dependent songs are complemented by some other songs that are softer on the ears, such as “Nightvision” and “Something About Us”. So, for those who have only heard some of Daft Punk’s music, they may be surprised by the variety of music styles in this album. All in all, I would give it 3.5 stars. @Riveting_Reviews of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
Much less repetitive than the "Homework" album, less experimental and more given to pop. I most liked tracks 1, 3, 5, 7, and 10.
This is the soundtrack to Interstella 5555. Both are awesome together.
