Do you like period costumes, romantic locales, and a mystery to curl up with? Well, Heat of the Sun is not for you. It is a hard-edged crime drama that resolutely deglamourizes the British Empire in Kenya, with more than a touch of George Orwell's irony. Another fine performance by Trevor Eve, the best actor you have never heard of. Susannah Harker drops in as a Beryl Markham-like aviatrix. For fans of The Jewel In the Crown or any realistic British drama.

This is simply one of the best TV series anyone has made. Perod drama from Kenya in the '30s.

Out of Africa in 3 episodes.
