Comment
Add a CommentThe movie based on this great book, starring Charlton Heston, was horrible, and maybe should have been called "The Alamo." Whites act like Texas was "Theirs As Ordained By God" the instant they set foot on it, and that the Mexicans were invaders, even though it was part of Mexico. At the time of the Alamo battle, most of them had been there less than a generation, yet they acted like, and still act like, that it was the land that their distant ancestors died for.
When will whites give up this Unamerican "Above All Others" delusions about themselves, and stop thinking that "All Others" should worship the color of their skin?
Michener was one of our greatest writers, revealing history in a way no textbook could.
