Delightful read. Be prepared to go on an interesting journey. There are two main characters, a young and older woman, both unlucky in love, who learn to follow their hearts. Their relationship (with each other) is endearing. Caution: be prepared to gain a little weight - this book is filled with scrumptious eating. For some reason it is also filled with lots of alcohol being used to dull the senses. That part I wonder about. But overall another sweet read from Katie Fford.

Tte only reason I picked up this book was because of the cover photo of English narrowboats on a canal. I don't understand how this book got published - I was so stunned by its dreadful writing I read the whole thing with a sick facscination! This author must be about 15 years old and that's doing a disservice to 15 year olds! She can't have done more than five minutes of research. Makes me want to quit my job and do some writing!!!
