Wow! Never have I read a book so full of pandering inuendo. It seems like every chapter the author is showing off how she was oppressed in her research in Cancer. I found the book to have too many conspiracy theories. I work in Oncology and will readily admit that there are ways to improve the way we work towards bettering people'slives who are affected by cancer, the author tends to focus in on very narrow case examples then nod and wink as she expands that to be the reasons why we are all going to get sick.

I feel that she is pandering to the same people that will always attack "Big Pharma" and how they are only making money. She forgets that there are a lot of nurses, pharmacists, doctors and others very much engaged in caring for individuals and that a number of drugs which do help people have been developed by "Big Pharma". Additionally she does not mention how many times funding is diverted away from other projects towards very expensive drugs which only offer marginal benefits.

In many ways I do agree with the author that there are better ways to treat people with cancer, but I think her approach is poor, I can get most of the same information from people wearing tin-foil hats.
