It's an interesting narrative choice to shift a series from third to first-person narration four books in, and I'm not 100% certain I think it was the right choice, exactly -- but I still really enjoyed this book, of course, because this series is excellent. Considering she's the titular character, Caddy's storyline gets relatively few pages, though it makes up for it with sheer drama. I don't think this was the series' strongest installment, but it was still wonderfully funny, because Hilary McKay is a genius.
