Hauntingly beautiful profiles of 6 senior women as they grow closer to each other and reflect on their lives and how their pasts are reflected in their present interaction. The body may be aging but the spirit and need to work together turns what could be tragic into a beautiful portrait of life. They may be elderly in age but unbreakable in spirit. And the interaction with nature and photography of the setting is spectacular.

With a cast of seven women (six of whom are non-actors), this is a sweet story of how they are thrown together in the middle of the countryside and get to know one another. Nice interactions and revelations of each of their lives. At first, I found it a little slow but as the dynamics unfold, these charmers win you over. If you enjoy the movie, don't forget to watch the extras where you can access bio info on each actor and also watch them discussing thoughts about doing the movie.

The acting was great, the plot was weak - boring.

An odd little Canadian film. A little bit about making do in a (somewhat) tough situation, a little bit about resilience, a little bit about relationships. Not much about anything, though.

What a gift they made this into a DVD! I found this movie in my 30s and loved Canada had the courage to trust is a cast of ladies. There is beauty in all ages, and the USA dying with his insistence on worshiping youth while refusing to grow up and grow old!
