Great book for spiritually oriented parents who want to teach their children the consequences of how we treat people. My 4 and 6 year olds really get the concept and I can explain things by aking them if we just filled or emptied somebody's bucket!

This book is quite wonderful: simply told, charmingly illustrated, and with a message we can all take on board. It gives parents and children a metaphor for behaviour, showing what is hurtful and what is helpful - and that if you do what is helpful, you help yourself too. Our six-year-old likes this book so much, she said, "I think we should buy this one and keep it!" So - we did!

The strangest thing was that for every drop he helped put in someone else's bucket he felt another drop in his own bucket
