Bella leaves her extravagant York lifestyle after her mother marries a man who lives in Oklahoma. The plot is completely ridiculous in every way. What is wrong with the adults in this town that a teenager new to town is the only person who cares about the violent accidents that have happened to numerous football players? At first Bella is selfish and snobby, but then she earnestly wants to help the people in her new town.

So, heh, I accidentally deleted my previous comment here....*steaming*...so...I'll just reiterate that this book is amazing!
Yeah, I loved it all. Something you should read again and again. Bella is a great character, and the surrounding cast (Budge, Luke, etc.) are fun and colorful. Jones is definitely one of the best sassy writers I know, and I am glad to say I enjoy her books. So, read this. And the rest of the series. You will love it.

OK kiddies, get nice and comfortable, 'cause this is going to be a long one ;) I found out about this book by reading one of Jenny B. Jones other novels, There You'll Find Me. Honestly, while I loved this series, that book is un-toppable. But we're talking about the A Charmed Life series right now ;) Bella is a unique character. Most authors don't have girly girls for their main character, but Bella is definitely a girly girl. Her life is hard, too. She has to deal with her divorced parents, her obnoxious new stepbrother, and a complete flip on her life. While she is described as bratty, I was cheering for her the entire time. As a person who's moved lots of times, I know from experience that it's hard, and my moving experiences are a cakewalk compared to hers. On a lighter note, this series is hilarious. I liked the third one best because of Ruthie McGee, the funniest, strangest, oddest, bizarrest (etc) sidekick in the history of sidekicks. Then there's Bella's relationship with Budge, her older stepbrother. Those two crack me up. And, of course, we can't forget Luke, the hottest most infuriating editor on the planet. All in all, it's a very well-written book, though God sort of has a backseat in this whole thing. I didn't like that part. Anyway, five stars, a great read, enjoy =)

This book is so unique and suspenseful! You really can relate to Bella and all the tough things she is going through. It reminds me of twilight sort of lol. 5/5 stars definitely! A must read!

This book is soooo funny and awesome! Jenny B Jones has a lot of wit and it had me laughing the whole way through. This book also keeps you on your toes and makes you realize how first impressions aren't truthful.
