Add a CommentWho is Kathy Griffin? Obnoxious Hollywood survivor, hardworking comedienne, unfailing charity supporter, relentless celebrity hound? Yes. Also she, or her ghost is a pretty good writer.
the letter to Oprah in the beginning is really funny. don't forget to read the index, the interview and the book discussion questions in the back :P
ONE OF THE BEST biographies I have ever read. Kathy is hilarious throughout the entire book. What I loved is that each chapter was just the perfect length so you never had that feeling of the book dragging. I loved hearing about her struggles to stardom and I highly reccomend this bio. Also for the record I wasnt even much of a kathy fan prior to reading, but despite that I still found the entire book to be delightful.
Quite entertaining....reminds you how hard comics have to work to do something that looks so easy.
I really enjoyed this book. A good easy read. If you like her reality show you will find this book equally entertaining. You learn and read how Kathy really did overcome rejection and come to grips with the D-List environment that exists in Hollywood. In addition, her family relationships are explored and discussed in much greater detail than you see on the show.
