Jack White, Jimmy Page, and the Edge talk about guitars. That's pretty much it, and it's great.

As a musician since pre-teens, I was a bit disappointed when the rock emphasis increasingly became being a stage star than a great musician.

There were several fun conversations, though, and interesting clips from the players' early days/groups.

This is a fantastic documentary. Love the Edge and Jimmy Page, Jack White could have been left out of this. Just hearing the Edge and Page talk about their beginnings is priceless. If you are a fan of either of these two bands this is a must watch. Also the deleted scenes are worth a watch too.

No filler, just three men who know what they're talking about, and their instruments. Seeing the look on Page's face, when he's watching White demonstrate the technical changes on "Seven Nation Army", and as mentioned by an earlier commenter, watching The Edge and White when they see Page playing anything, is priceless. Worth watching the extras, too. I plan on buying a copy for the guitarist in the family.

I am a person who loathes rock stars - but I have been changed by this documentary. This film is inspiring, and that is an understatement. It provides glimpses into each guitarists lives - their style and how they got that way and is so encouraging to others in any creative endeavour to keep with your craft, develop your own style and damn all the naysayers. What a refreshing look at music.

On beyond excellent. I watched it straight through twice and then bought it for someone.

A lack of air in the house prevented 'what could have been'...

What happen when you reunite Jimmy Page, The Edge and Jack White? Pure musical awesomeness!

All previous comments glorify Jimmy Page and Jack White, but everybody fails to mention how awe inspiring the Edge's guitar playing (especially his solos) really is. That said I highly recommend this and all of U2's concerts.

Great historical footage of James Page and the brilliance of Jack White as a contemporary white electric blues man is revealing and inspiring
