Snowpiercer is a dystopian sci-fi film, starring Chris Evans in the lead role. The film is about cooling temperatures on Earth, turning the planet into a frozen wasteland, while killing nearly all life. The only human survivors are aboard the Snowpiercer: a train continuously travelling the world. In spite of its far-fletched story, South Korean director, Bong Joon-ho, takes the audience on a trip with great performances, a fast-paced plot, and a thought-provoking theme. He explores the idea of human behavioral flaws, along with the ideas of hierarchy and social structure, as all passengers on the train are divided into classes to maintain order. What drives the plot forward is the underlying theme of revolution against suppressors, as those on the lowest level of the social structure decide to challenge the status-quo by attempting to take charge of the train. The film only derails on occasional moments, which is why I give it 4.5 stars. @Riveting_Reviews of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board
