Halsey's third full length album Maniac can be perfectly described as a coming of age story condensed into an album. After listening to all sixteen tracks I can confidently say this album is very emotionally driven. It embodies the thing that makes music great as it really gives an insight into the artist's views. It depicts Halsey not as a celebrity but a girl with dreams and really gives her humanity back. I loved the toying of emotions between tracks as it really embodied how people contradict themselves in real life. For example, on one track she'll say she doesn't need approval while wanting that very thing on the next. The transitions in between songs are also a very nice inclusion, with the move from Dominic's Interlude to I HATE EVERYBODY leaving me shocked on first listen. My favourite songs were I HATE EVERYBODY, Beautiful Stranger, Graveyard and 929. In conclusion, this album really spoke to me, and I highly recommend listening to it from start to finish to do it justice. 5 Stars @Ruby_Tuesday of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
