What a beautiful book! Not every storyline has a happy ending as the title would have you believe. Every guess I made about the ending turned out to be incorrect. What I love most about Felix is that he realizes that just because you are trans doesn't mean you have to have all the answers. The dialogue is realistic, as are the choices the characters make. Real teenagers (okay, not all, of course) smoke pot, drink, stay out too late, don't tell their parents what they're up to. This story validates that it's perfectly normal to want to find your own path in life, and provides a clear distinction between choices that only hurt yourself and choices that hurt others. Highly recommended!
