Narrator Barbara Rosenblat could read a cookbook and make it sound intriguing. Her masterful audio is best when she has an array of accents and personalities to convey. Dorothy Parker’s characters in these short stories are whining women and self-absorbed people, and I tired of it after three CDs. I need a bit of humor and description in a book. Even Barbara Rosenblat’s voice could not keep me listening to the end.
