This book was a lovely walk through the history of cephalopods where their various lifeforms converged, diverged, and in some cases remain mostly unchanged to present day. Dr. Staaf's writing style is warm and approachable whilst talking about the denizens of the deep dark ocean and the drama involved in discovery of the ancient past.
