The beautiful imagery attracted me to this book when I saw it on the shelf. Even as an adult, it was enjoyable. The writing was a bit complex and like poetry and may be a tad confusing for some kids. I particularly liked that a multi-cultural family was represented. And of course, the illustrations were wonderful. If you love Japan and cherry blossoms, you might like this book.
