Banned Books of Today

October 1-7 is Banned Books Week, a time to celebrate freedom to read and open access to information. This is as important as ever, with book challenges being up 20% so far in 2023 compared to the same period last year. The following is a list of the most challenged books in 2021 and 2022, according to the American Library Association. At the end of the list, find a link to the ALA's data on book bans this year.
