This is the inspiring story of a Black Latino community's history as told through some of its finest professionals, including a woman percussionist who had her own obstacles to overcome in order to pursue her chosen career. Special emphasis is put on the cajón drum, an unassuming instrument created by a small, little-known community but which has now entered world music.
